DONATIONS

Note: This section promises to be very short. Resources will be donated, in all forms, we just have to see we get the proper materials for our infrastructure and end users.

We anticipate many donations of older destop and laptop computers. A central receiving area will be established where decisions on their use will be made. The plan is for the donated computers to be stripped, tested, repaired as necessary and reinstalled in a brand new case, with the tribe's logo and or sign. Monitors and other periphael devices, printers, speakers, mice and keyboards will all have to be tested and evaluated. My hope is that all of those items will be donated. matching our computers. (Note: It is planned for the Native peoples to do this work, for training as well as hands on experience. It is one of the requirements for a PC tech, of which you will need and train in great numbers). Those donated computers will then be assigned out according to need and/or priority. Even the smallest village or individuals MUST have access to services. The same goes for any donated telephony equipment. Regular phones are needed so that no one is out of touch with the tribe, EVER! At this point, cell phone technology and it's infrastructure is minor and even discouraged. Radio wireless can be adapted to run a small wireless cell network. Once the cell user connects to the radio wireless network, his calls are carried over the network to the nearest radio point of their intended contact. The only disadvantage to this is the limited range; but this can be solved by putting the signal higher, just like radio and telexision transmission towers.

We need many, many different kinds of equipment, techs to operate them and train others. We need a great number of educational supplies, not just computer related either. And qualified teachers to run the centers. I hope to one day open and establish a national Native Peoples Technology College, a fully accredited institution that turns out certified and degreed specialists in ALL fields of technology, not just computers. And qualified teachers. This college will offer online classes for any degree or certification, replacing the need to justify the cost of leaving your home to learn. I am counting heavily on the private sector to donate the expertise, equipment and supplies we need to get started. The rollout for the first tribe model will be a template for future rollouts and planning, depending on tribe size, needs and desires. As each tribe rolls out their intranet, they will become part of a larger network, the Native Peoples' Network
